It has been a long time coming.
We are making the leap beyond our respective locations (Sarah, Southern Maine and Anna, New York City) and vocations (Sarah, floral & event design and Anna, culinary development & food media) to the big, wide world of the interweb.
We know the last thing the internet needs is another lifestyle blog. Yet....
Both of us are frequently asked for guidance from family and friends on a myriad of topics. While most known for her beautiful bouquets, Sarah is also a super-certified elementary and middle-school educator, sustainable agriculture & gardening expert, pickling goddess, and is ridiculously nimble on the ol' knitting needles. Anna's day job (and personal life) revolve around food and cooking but she also has a background in medical nutrition counseling, is 'natural' parenting savvy (cloth diapering, breastfeeding, yada, yada), harbors a not-so-secret style & online shopping obsession, and is certified to teach aerobics and mat pilates. Advice-giving emails have piled up in our sent files and it is about time we dusted off our words, organized our thoughts and shared them with a wider audience, because, perhaps, fingers-crossed, there are two or three of you who want to hear more of what we have to say.
Our reverence for the earth and the souls on its surface, and general enthusiasm for the loveliness of life stem from a childhood full of mud-pies, homemade applesauce, imaginative play, books, books, and more books, and an unspoken understanding that good planets, and good lives, are hard to find. We are blessed beyond belief in our little corners of the world with our wonderful families, fabulous friends, overflowing gardens and simmering pots on the stove, so for goodness sake, let us celebrate the beauty of the everyday.
Come, share with us in the celebration.
